Our educators are qualified, experienced and have a natural love of working with children. So much so that we currently hold an ‘exceeding’ rating in our assessment, demonstrating that we go above and beyond to promote learning.

What makes you passionate about working in childcare? I believe Early Childhood Educators lay down the foundations for children’s learning. I strive to ensure the team who are engaging with the children everyday are positively encouraging and supporting children to learn, grow and play in a comfortable and inviting environment. As a mother of 2 children myself, I understand how hard it is to leave your children in the care of others, and here at Village Kids Gulliver, we try to make our centre feel like as much like a home environment as we can. Our centre focus is the children and families, and we strive to educate and guide all the children in our care as if they were our own. As the saying goes, ‘it takes a village to raise a child’, and we try to apply this philosophy within our centre, applying it in our daily practices.
What is the funniest or most memorable moment you can share from working in childcare? From working here at this centre for 11 years, being able to watch the children grow from a baby, beginning care at only a few months old, all the way up to the kindergarten room, then seeing them graduate to school is the most beautiful experience. Also, being able to be a part of the lives of children and families over the time they are here as part of the Village Kids family at the centre is a privilege.
Why do you believe your centre is an excellent choice for parents seeking the best childcare? I know first hand how hard it is to leave your children in a new environment or centre, and here we try to help support all families with this transition, and ensure the children are feeling welcome, safe and supported while they are away from their loved ones. Making the choice to place your children into a centre is very hard due to work/study commitments, and having a centre where you feel like it is your own home makes the process a lot calmer, smoother and easier. It is crucial that my team are building bonds with the children and have a strong relationship with our families, because if our children are happy and our families are happy, then we will have an amazing adventure together.
